1978 December Shotokan Karate International Kodokai(SKI) formed, General Headquarters established in Yotsuya, Tokyo
1981 October First SKI all Japan Championship Tournament held at Kitasato University Gymnasium, Tokyo
1982 August Second SKI all Japan Championship Tournament held at Yoyogi Athletic Stadium Gymnasium, Tokyo
1983 August First SKI World Karate Championship Tournament held at Yoyogi Athletic Stadium Gymnasium, Tokyo, with participants from 16 countries
1985 November Second SKI World Karate Championship Tournament held in Düsseldorf, West Germany, with participants from 24 countries
1988 April Organization name changed to Shotokan Karate-Do International Federation(SKIF)
1988 November Third SKIF World Karate Championship Tournament held in Utsunomiya, Japan, with participants from 31 countries
1991 September Fourth SKIF World Karate Championship Tournament held in Mexico-city, Mexico, with participants from 41 countries
1992 October General Headquarters moved to Kugahara, Tokyo
1994 November Fifth SKIF World Karate Championship Tournament held in Yokohama, Japan, with participants from 55 countries
1997 June Sixth SKIF World Karate Championship Tournament held in Milan, Italy, with participants from 66 countries
1998 October SKIF 20th Anniversary held in Tokyo, Japan
2000 April Seventh SKIF World Karate Championship Tournament held in Bali, Indonesia, with participants from 56 countries
2003 September Eigthth SKIF WOrld Karate Championship Tournament held in Durban, South Africa, 51 countries participated.
2006 November Ninth SKIF WOrld Karate Championship Tournament held in Tokyo, Japan, 72 countries participated.
2009 July Tenth SKIF WOrld Karate Championship Tournament held in Athens, Greece , 58 countries participated.
2012 November Eleventh SKIF World Karate Championship Tournament held in Sydney, Australia.
2013 11th SKIF AGM Kanazawa Soke announced the transition of Kancho 館長 to Nobuaki Kanazawa and Chief Instructor 首席師範 Manabu Murakami .
